Shane Crawford has predicted his side's upcoming clash with St Kilda will not be a repeat of their previous ugly meeting earlier this season.
The Hawthorn midfielder promised fans the game would not turn into the possession style game that was seen in Round 8 when only four goals were kicked in the first half.
"Well it will be indoors (at Telstra Dome) and the weather will be a little bit better, I think they've got more players to choose from this time so they'll be a lot harder to defeat and I'm sure the game won't be anywhere near the game that was played last time so I'm sure it will be a much better spectacle," Crawford said at Waverley Park on Monday.
"We always knew it (previous meeting) was going to be a bit of a tight contest and it wasn't going to be a high scoring game."
"However, I'm pretty sure this weekend will probably be a different game altogether because different personnel (are available) and the way they will set up, we'll probably set up a bit different as well so it will be a bit more flowing."
After suffering a heavy loss to the Crows, the Hawks responded on Sunday with a strong win over Richmond to land their 10th victory of the season and move into second place on the ladder.
Crawford said the fast improving Hawks had shown great strength to respond strongly after each of their losses this season.
"With all the losses this year we've found ourselves bouncing back really quick and winning the following week so we just put it (Adelaide match) down as a game we move on as quickly as possible, try and forget about it and re-focus on the good things that we've done so far this year," he said.
"Going interstate and getting a good kick in the backside (it is) very important to bounce back the next week (and) get that belief back in the side and I think we certainly got that."
"I think the biggest thing about our season so far is everyone's been contributing, there hasn't been one or two (players) we are relying on every week, everyone's having an input into the game and that's been the pleasing thing for our side."
As for a potential match-up for the final time against fellow Brownlow Medal winner Robert Harvey, who is possibly playing his last season, Crawford said he would relish the challenge.
"He's certainly been a role model to look upon and he is a player I have the utmost respect for so it's good getting out and playing against him, hopefully they put the two veterans on each other and we can run around on each other for the last time," he said.
Hawks skipper Richard Vandenberg, who played three quarters for VFL side Box Hill on the weekend, is still one to two weeks away from returning to the senior side.
