Crocker drops three

Round 13 Teams

26/06/2009 6:52 PM

North Melbourne coach Darren Crocker has settled on four changes to the Kangaroos line-up for his first match as caretaker coach against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG on Sunday.

Sam Power, Gavin Urquhart and Aaron Edwards have been dumped, making way along with the injured Jack Ziebell for skipper Brent Harvey, Ben Warren, David Hale and first-gamer Liam Anthony from East Fremantle.

Harvey is returning from more than two months on the sidelines with a dislocated elbow and Warren from a fractured cheekbone while Hale was a late withdrawal in the wet against Adelaide before the mid-season break.

Crocker said during the week that he didn't feel inclined to make any grand statements at the selection table for his debut match in charge, but four changes - three unforced - is a statement nonetheless.

Lindsay Gilbee has been named in the Bulldogs' unchanged 22 despite continuing doubts about his fitness due to a foot injury.

The inclusion of skipper Tom Harley for Ryan Gamble is the only update to the Geelong side for Sunday's lunchtime clash at Skilled Stadium with Port Adelaide.

There are four changes to the Power line-up - Alipate Carlile, Jason Davenport, Nathan Krakouer and Ed Lower replace Steven Salopek, Matthew Westhoff and the Motlop cousins.

The Saints are unchanged for Sunday's twilight fixture against Richmond for whom Jarrod Silvester will make his AFL debut.

Named at full back, Silvester is the only 'in' for the Tigers, replacing Adam Pattison.
