Eagles elevate NSW rookie

Eagles elevate NSW rookie

15/05/2008 4:31 PM

Sydney scholarship rookie Ryan Davis has been elevated to West Coast's senior list and is poised to make his senior debut against North Melbourne at Carrara on Saturday night.

Davis, who joined the Eagles via the AFL's scholarship program in NSW, has made great strides since arriving at Subiaco Oval late last year.

The 18-year-old hard-running defender was nominated by his WAFL club, Swan Districts, for selection to represent Western Australia in an interstate match next month.

Davis replaces young forward Mitch Brown, who has been placed on the long-term injury list as a result of a serious knee injury sustained during the pre-season, on the club's senior list.
