Home ground advantage will offer little benefit to Collingwood in Sunday's qualifying final against St Kilda, according to veteran Magpies ruckman Josh Fraser.
The Pies have graced the 'G' 14 times in 2009 compared to the Saints' sole appearance in Round 22 against Melbourne.
On the face of it, that's a big plus for Collingwood, but Fraser thinks otherwise.
"From our point of view it doesn't hold any great advantage that we play a lot of our games here," said Fraser.
"We look at the way St Kilda have gone about their football this year and that's going to present a big enough challenge in itself."
"I don't buy too much into the different grounds - you've just got to win where you're told to play."
"We've got to be good enough to play at the 'G', we've got to be good enough to play at Etihad Stadium, we've got to be good enough to play interstate."
Speaking before a closed session at the MCG on Thursday morning, Fraser said the change of training venue would freshen up the players and provide a welcome break from routine.
"It'll just be normal training I think," Fraser said.
"It's nice to be able to get out there a week before our first final and just have a run and soak in some atmosphere, calm a few nerves and get a few cobwebs out from last weekend's game but I don't think there'll be any trickery or anything like that."
Fraser rates Scott Pendlebury, who was a late withdrawal from last Sunday's clash with the Western Bulldogs because of back soreness, as 'more likely than not' to prove his fitness and said he would welcome the return of Anthony Rocca should the veteran forward happen to be selected for what would be just his fourth senior match for the season coming off some solid form in the VFL.
Asked whether the club was likely to persevere with two specialist ruckmen - himself and Cameron Wood - into September, Fraser said: "It's really what's best for the team - I enjoy rucking with 'Woody' and I enjoy rucking with 'Browny' (Leigh Brown)".
"I think Mick (Malthouse)'s on record as saying it's horses for courses and he will pick the best side for the opposition ... as long as I'm out there."
