Johnson: I let the club down

Western Bulldogs skipper Brad Johnson admits he let his club and its supporters down with his costly after the final siren miss against the Kangaroos on Sunday.
Johnson had the chance to keep his side's unbeaten start to the 2008 season intact when he marked about 35 metres from goal, just seconds before the final siren with the Dogs trailing by four points.
But one of the most reliable kicks for goal in the AFL pushed his shot across goal with the resultant behind giving the Roos a three point win in Brent Harvey's 250th game.
Johnson, who back in round one booted the last three goals of the game to give the Dogs a fairytale win in what was his 300th game, was keen to put the kick behind him on Monday.
"How do you reckon it felt - it felt obviously very disappointing," he told Channel Ten.
"I let so many people down and all the supporters."
"It couldn't have been any worse being down that end of the ground and then having the long trek back up the other end (to the Bulldogs' dressing rooms)."
However Johnson, whose team now faces a huge clash against unbeaten league leaders Hawthorn in Tasmania on Saturday, said his teammates did not blame him for the loss.
"The guys were extremely supportive after the game but it's one kick, although one very important kick."
"(But) the sun comes up and credit to the Kangaroos - they played the game very well and now we have got a bit of work to do this week."
