Brisbane coach Leigh Matthews is concerned about how Melbourne will set-up its forward line when the two teams meet at the MCG on Sunday.
Since the recent retirement of David Neitz and the loss of enigmatic high-flyer Russell Robertson to injury, Melbourne has been forced to use a makeshift forward line in recent weeks with limited success.
Brad Miller and Paul Johnson have been Melbourne's main focal points in attack of late, with the ever improving Matthew Bate and speedster Aaron Davey providing the spark.
But this week Melbourne has brought youngster Stefan Martin in for his first game and Matthews admitted he was worried as to how the Demons would line-up.
"I don't know what they will do this week, we will find out I guess," Matthews said.
Matthews pointed to the fact that Melbourne has one of the best conversion rates inside 50 for any team in the league and his charges will need to apply plenty of defensive pressure if they are to get the four points.
"Their patchwork forward line is actually doing a good job," Matthews said.
"One of the things that Melbourne are doing just recently is converting really well. They are not getting into their forward 50 heaps, but their conversion percentages are as good as anybody's."
"Their scoring percentages are better than ours in terms of inside 50s and scoring a goal so that is one of their strengths at the moment."
Matthews gave every indication that star forward Daniel Bradshaw and talented midfielder Travis Johnstone will line-up against the Demons after recovering from their respective injuries.
Both players trained well on Wednesday afternoon and Matthews said he expected the pair to line-up.
"They are having a rest the following week, so if they are fit they will play," Matthews said.
"Braddy has done everything to prove he is OK and so has Travis."
With Bradshaw and Johnstone likely to play, young forward Scott Clouston will have to wait at least one more week before making his senior debut.
Matthews said Clouston had improved remarkably over the past month and that the 21-year-old is sure to feature in the senior side before the season is out.
"If Daniel Bradshaw didn't play this week we would have played him, but we are pretty sure Braddy will play so most probably he will be an emergency," Matthews said.
"But it is an indicator of how well he has been playing at the lower level that he has forced his way into being our next forward in line."
