Exciting Fremantle forward Chris Mayne has signed a one-year contract extension with the club that ties him to the Dockers until the end of 2011.
The 21-year-old is looking to build on his 22 AFL games after a serious Achilles tendon injury restricted him to just five matches last season.
Taken at pick 40 in the 2007 National Draft, Maybe is set to be a major contributor in the Dockers' forward line alongside inspirational skipper Matthew Pavlich and fellow goalsneak Hayden Ballantyne.
"I love the club. I enjoy everything about being here at Fremantle," Mayne told Perth's Sunday Times.
"Half of our squad is under 21 and we're starting to see progress and excitement in where we want to go."
"I want to be in the first premiership for Fremantle and I strongly believe that we're not that far away."
Mayne booted 10 goals in his five games at the end of 2009, including four against Port Adelaide.
"Chris is an exciting talent and we are delighted that he has committed to the club through to the end of the 2011 season," general manager of player management Brad Lloyd said.
