No Gamble for Cats

Ryan Gamble and Shannon Byrnes drew the short straw at Geelong when they were left out of the Cats side to face St Kilda in Sunday's qualifying final at the MCG.
Gamble and Byrnes have made way for under-rated midfielder Max Rooke, who has served a one-match suspension, and defender Andrew Mackie, who was named in the Cats' starting 18 on Thursday night.
Gamble and Byrnes can both consider themselves unlucky to be dropped after playing serviceable games last week in Geelong's crushing 99-point win over West Coast.
The pair has been named as emergencies alongside speedster David Wojcinski, who has not played in the seniors since Round 15 due to an Achilles injury.
The Saints cut teenager Jack Steven, David Armitage and Shane Birss and recalled Xavier Clarke and Andrew McQualter.
They could not consider former Sydney midfielder Sean Dempster, who ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament last week against Essendon.
