Port Adelaide hopes it can exploit a 'vulnerable' Adelaide with quick ball movement and at the stoppages during Showdown XXV at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
The Crows enter the all-South Australian clash under the most pressure with their place in the eight looking shaky after four losses in a row.
Port's losing streak is worse at five games but it no longer has the burden of expectation after giving up on the finals mid-season.
Power assistant coach Matthew Primus said the team was keen to keep the Crows on the downward slide.
"If you look at the teams they've lost to, they've played some pretty good teams. When you are on a losing run there's a bit of vulnerability there and we are on one of those runs too," he said.
"We'll be trying to exploit that and it would be lovely to make sure they continue losing and get a win over them."
Port's chance for exploitation could come in the ruck where Dean Brogan and Brendon Lade reunited. If the duo perform it may spark a fast, free-flowing game by their team-mates.
Young ruckman Fabian Deluca has been omitted from the final squad to make way for Lade.
"We (could) really put the acid on him (Deluca) and see how he performs against the Crows guys or do we bring in an experienced player and know what we are going to get with Brendon," Primus said.
The former club captain said the other option was to play Lade in attack.
"He played mostly forward in the second half last week even though he was at the SANFL and we know he can do that no worries. With how smart he is the weather doesn't affect him too much," he said.
Primus said the most important issue facing selectors was whether the team had enough run to cause the Crows 'some headaches'.
Regardless of who's in the squad, the Power will struggle to win unless it can improve its disposal, decision making and ability to perform under extreme pressure.
"If we look back when we played them last time we thought we were coming hard in the second half and our skill level cost us," Primus said.
"We know it's going to be a tight and a contested game of footy. No doubt, if you continue to keep losing them it does wear on your minds eventually. It would be nice to win one."
