Richo breaks down

Richo breaks down

01/08/2009 6:58 PM

The ongoing playing future of Richmond champion Matthew Richardson has been cast into doubt as he broke down with a hamstring injury in the first quarter of his comeback match with the Coburg Tigers.

The 34-year-old was playing his first match since injuring his hamstring against the Sydney Swans in Round Six, but quickly limped to the sidelines after succumbing once again to a troublesome soft tissue injury.

The yet-to-be appointed Richmond coach is sure to face difficult decisions on a number of Tiger veterans including Nathan Brown, Joel Bowden and Richardson and this latest injury may hinder the champion's desire to continue on beyond this season.
