Saints lose Kosi, Ferguson

St Kilda's challenge of beating a flying Sydney at the SCG on Saturday night has become even tougher following the withdrawals of Justin Koschitzke and Matthew Ferguson.
Koschitzke had been in doubt all week after jarring his knee in last weekend's loss to the Western Bulldogs but was selected in the 22 to face the Swans when the Saints named their team on Thursday night.
Ferguson meanwhile, who only played his first game of the season two weeks ago in the Round 10 win over Melbourne, managed only two matches before being ruled out on Saturday with an undisclosed injury.
The AFL released a statement on Saturday afternoon announcing that neither Koschitzke nor Ferguson would take their places in the side, with Andrew McQualter and Charlie Gardiner - who wasn't even an emergency - rushed into the 22 as their replacements.
Chasing its fifth win in succession as it looks to possibly push into the top four, Sydney made only one change to the team that beat West Coast by five points, recalling star forward Barry Hall following a seven-match suspension in place of Ed Barlow.
