Geelong: 1st: 14-3, 158.0.

TO COME: Richmond (SS), Adelaide (SS), Kangaroos (TD), Port Adelaide (SS), Brisbane (Gabba).

PREDICTION: With a two game break and three games still to come at home, the Cats look certain to finish top.

Kangaroos: 2nd: 12-5, 107.9.

TO COME: Brisbane (Gabba), West Coast (Dome), Geelong (Dome), Carlton (Dome), Bulldogs (Dome).

PREDICTION: Should win their last two games but will have to win one of the next three to be assured of a top four finish.

Port Adelaide: 3rd: 11-6, 113.6.

TO COME: Adelaide (AAMI), Carlton (AAMI), Hawthorn (Aurora), Geelong (SS), Fremantle (AAMI).

PREDICTION: Should beat Carlton and Freo but will need to win at least one of their other three games to finish top four.

West Coast: 4th: 11-6, 113.6.

TO COME: Fremantle (S), Kangaroos (Dome), Richmond (S), St Kilda (Dome), Essendon (S).

PREDICTION: Back in form and with a great run home should finish top four but will need to beat one of St Kilda or the Roos away to make sure.

Hawthorn: 5th: 10-7, 110.5.

TO COME: Essendon (MCG), Brisbane (MCG), Port (Aurora), Bulldogs (Dome), Sydney (SCG).

PREDICTION: The Hawks have the toughest run home of any team and still need to win two more games to assure themselves of a finals berth while a top four finish is starting to look out of reach.

Collingwood: 6th, 10-7, 99.9

TO COME: Carlton (MCG), Richmond (MCG), Melbourne (MCG), Sydney (MCG), Adelaide (Dome).

PREDICTION: A dream run home with matches against the three bottom teams in the next three weeks will ensure a finals appearance for the Pies but will need to beat one or possibly both of Sydney and Adelaide to finish top four.

Sydney: 7th, 9-8, 116.5

TO COME: Melbourne (Manuka), St Kilda (Telstra Stadium), Brisbane (Gabba), Collingwood (MCG), Hawthorn (SCG).

PREDICTION: With their great percentage and reasonable run home the Swans should make the eight but a top four finish is out of reach.

Essendon: 8th, 9-8, 96.7

TO COME: Hawthorn (MCG), Fremantle (S), Carlton (MCG), Richmond (MCG), West Coast (S).

PREDICTION: Along with Hawthorn is the only vulnerable side in the top eight. Needs to win four out of five to be certain of giving Kevin Sheedy a farewell finals berth but only Carlton and Richmond could be considered certain wins.

St Kilda: 9th, 9-8, 94.5.

TO COME: Bulldogs (Dome), Sydney (Telstra Stadium), Fremantle (Dome), West Coast (Dome), Richmond (MCG).
