Port Adelaide coach Mark Williams might have been keeping quiet on his contract status following Sunday's 34 point loss to Geelong at Skilled Stadium but it was clear from his post-match comments that 'Choco' is not going anywhere.
The Power suffered their fifth loss in the past seven games but remain just percentage outside of the top eight despite now having the unflattering record of six wins and seven losses for the season.
Despite that record and the fact he has been in charge since 1999, Williams is expected to be rewarded with a new two year deal - possibly as early as Monday.
While Williams maintained after Sunday's game that his future was still up in the air, at the same time he was talking of still leading Port into the finals this year - which of course would be impossible if he was to either be dumped by the club or walk away from Alberton this week.

"We have got nine games left - six of them at home - and hopefully we can start putting some wins together and make the finals," Williams said.
"We have travelled three times (all against top four sides) in the last few weeks and while we would have liked to have picked up a win or two in this period, it wasn't to be."
"But now we can get back on the plane to Adelaide with the knowledge that we fought this game out and didn't come back with our tail between our legs like we did from Darwin (after suffering a 93 point loss to the Bulldogs in Round 12)."
Williams admitted Port was struggling to
