The Melbourne Tigers have bolstered their roster by signing up two members of their 2008/09 Grand Final team in David Barlow and Luke Kendall.
After four seasons and two titles with the Sydney Kings, Barlow joined Melbourne in 2007/08 and played in a championship in his first year with the Tigers.
Although they couldn't go back-to-back last season, Barlow was still a solid contributor averaging 14.78 points a game from 32 matches.
Tigers coach Al Westover was rapt to have Barlow back with the team again this season.
"A young player of Barlow's calibre and ability in our mix is exactly what we need this year if we are to go that next step and reclaim the NBL title," he said.
"As a Boomers player, his versatility, skill and athleticism boosts our program, which is very exciting for us."
Meanwhile, Kendall, who was nabbed by the Tigers in January, made an instant impact off the bench for Melbourne in the run-in to and during last season's playoffs.
The former Wildcat admitted that losing last year's grand final will serve as a huge motivational tool for the upcoming season.
"That's why I came; I want to win," said Kendall who was also involved in Sydney's 2005 championship along with Barlow.
"I love winning, I'll do whatever it takes to win."
The latest signings come on the back of star recruits Chris Anstey and Mark Worthington last week and the reacquiring of Darryl Corletto this week.
