Australia's Team
Australia's five-person Olympic archery team will feature four new faces, with Matthew Gray the only archer with previous Games experience, participating in Sydney in 2000 and Atlanta in 1996.

This year the men's team will consist of Gray, Sky Kim and Michael Naray. Gray's best individual finish was 26th in 1996, he also finished 36th in 2000. Korean-born Kim won the Korean championships in 2004, but missed out on a spot in the Korean Olympic team. He moved to Australia the following year and won the national championships in 2006, the same year he was granted Australian citizenship. He also won the 2007 Archery Test Event in Beijing. Thirty-six-year-old Naray is Australia's final men's member of the team.

Australia will only have two women - Lexie Feeney and Jane Waller - competing in the individual event. Feeney's best moment came in 2006, when the then 17-year-old won her semi-final to place second at the European Grand Prix in Italy, winning Australia's first Women's Recurve Medal at an international event in the open class. At just 18, Waller has an impressive junior career winning the Cadet Recurve at the Junior World Championships in Mexico in 2006.

Australia has enjoyed recent Olympic success in the sport, with Simon Fairweather winning gold in 2000 and Tim Cuddihy grabbing bronze in 2004.

Previous Olympic Medallists:

Gold – Simon Fairweather (men's individual) 2000
