Sheffield Shield form could be thrown out the window with some of the best talent from both South Australia and Tasmania set to play in the teams' Ford Ranger Cup match at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
Speedster Shaun Tait and Jake Haberfield replace the injured Mark Cleary and Chris Duval from the Shield side which claimed an outright victory over the Tigers on Friday.
Tasmania has included some of its national players in wicketkeeper Tim Paine and Ben Hilfenhaus, while Travis Birt, Michael Dighton, Xavier Doherty and James Faulkner are also in the squad.
Redbacks coach Mark Sorell said he was pleased his team were going into the contest with a Shield win behind them but admitted there was no guarantee the form would continue on Sunday.
"You can carry some momentum from a win like that, it's pretty important, I know being on the other side it's quite difficult but it is a different format," Sorell said.
"They've changed their side quite significantly, different players come in who haven't played that (Shield) game, haven't carried it across."
"They are a good one-day side, they've got some exciting players in there, they've got guys that recently represented Australia. We will have to be on our best game to make sure we counter what they throw at us."
"We've got to take some confidence from the way we played and we try and take it into tomorrow's game."
The big trump card for the Redbacks could be Tait who is fit and refreshed after a relatively quiet off season.
"We all know when he plays his best cricket it's really exciting and good for our team so it's great to have him back in our ranks and look forward to getting him on the park tomorrow," Sorell said.
"Our expectations are when he gets the ball he'll try and bowl the ball as fast he can, that's pretty much what he tries to do an that's what we expect from him."
"He's been raring to go for a while now so we're just looking forward to him coming and enjoying himself to be honest. I don't place any more expectation than that."
Sorell said he expects 270 to be a par score at Adelaide Oval.
"I've had a look at the wicket this morning, it looks to be a pretty typical type of one-day wicket early here in Adelaide, so I expect it to be pretty good," he said.
"The ground is slightly smaller this year as probably everyone is aware so the scores may go up a little bit especially on that members grand stand side."
