Symonds touches down

06/06/2009 10:37 AM

Disgraced Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds has returned home to Brisbane just 24 hours after he was sent packing from the ICC World Twenty20 tournament by Cricket Australia officials.

Symonds arrived at Brisbane airport at 7am on Saturday morning and made a brief statement to the waiting press before being driven away.

"I've got a fair bit to consider I suppose and I appreciate you all coming out here this morning and I will come out and make a full proper when I've gathered my thoughts and sat down with friends."

Symonds now faces an uncertain international future after Cricket Australia officials announced that they were reviewing the 33-year-old’s contract.

LEAVE SYMO ALONE. Authority for some can be hard to handle. Symo has had to go through long periods of trying, and suppressing his party boy and bush culture nature, and at the same time giving his best shot at being a role model. For some, being weened of their parents and authority and to be free of the whole lot , is a dream. Let Symo be Symo and let him play. He'll work it out on his own. If you force him, you'll alienate him. Leave him alone. He'll work it out on his own. Let Symo be Symo and let him play.
