Warriors start well

Western Australia has made a solid start to its innings in its Ford Ranger Cup match against Queensland at the Gabba.
The Warriors won the toss and elected to bat and are 1-106 at the 25-over mark.
Captain Marcus North 48 (50) and Wes Robinson 51 (88) are the not out batsmen and have put on 97 for the second wicket.
Ben Cutting is the wicket taker but was smashed out of the attack by North.
Luke Towers opened the batting and hit a boundary before Ben Cutting dismissed him leg before wicket when the score was on just nine.
North wasn't long at the crease before he bludgeoned a series of off-side boundaries to put the pressure back on the home side.
But some tight bowling from Chris Simpson, Alister McDermott, Nathan Rimmington and Scott Walter starved the Warriors of loose balls and any chance to lift the run-rate in the middle overs.
Robinson brought up his fifty with a mistimed pull shot but his scratchy innings was starting to gain momentum.
Earlier in the day Brad Knowles (Warriors) was Wade Townsend (Bulls) were named 12th man for their respective sides.
