New deal for McKinley

New deal for McKinley

18/09/2008 7:50 PM

West Coast Eagles forward Ben McKinley has signed a new deal with the club.

McKinley had an excellent season with the Eagles in 2008, the 21-year-old managing 42 goals from just 18 games in his first full year of senior football.

West Coast Eagles General Manager of Football Operations Steve Woodhouse was ecstatic to have re-signed one of the most promising youngsters at the club.

"Ben enjoyed an outstanding year to be our leading goal-kicker and we believe he is an important part of our future," Woodhouse said.

"To do that in his first full season of senior football was a terrific achievement and something on which we believe he can build."

The Eagles failed to divulge the length of McKinley's new deal.
