The South Dragons have completed their roster for the 2008/09 season with the signing of former West Sydney Razorbacks guard Rhys Carter.
After starting his career with the Victoria Giants, Carter has spent the past three years with the Razorbacks but will now move to Melbourne to be part of the Dragons' line-up.
The 24-year-old has been training with the Dragons during the pre-season and has impressed assistant coach Guy Molloy.
"Rhys has done a fantastic job," Molloy said.
"He's got his body in unbelievable shape and he's obviously really hungry to prove to people that he's got a long future in the NBL. He's a good up-the-floor defender and he'll be a very important player off our bench."
Carter joins Adam Gibson, Cortez Groves, Joe Ingles and Ebi Ere in a talented Dragons' back-court.
"There are so many great players and great scorers on the team, but I think I can bring some intensity," Carter said.
"I can come in, play defence and be active, and just try and get the ball to the right people at the right time."
