Boogaard outed for two

Central Coast defender Nigel Boogaard will miss the next two matches after the Match Review Panel deliberated over his red card from the weekend.

Boogaard issued with an R3 red card for 'serious foul play' in the Round 13 Hyundai A-League match against Perth Glory.

The independent panel proposed the minimum sanction for this offence - two matches - which includes the mandatory one-match suspension that comes with a red card.

The defender will miss home clashes against Queensland on Saturday and Sydney the following week, but will be able to return for the away trip to New Zealand on December 19.
