The Gai Waterhouse-trained Sebring has taken out the Group One Golden Slipper at Rosehill on Saturday afternoon.
Sebring ($6.10) missed the start, but jockey Glen Boss got him back into a good position before storming to the front on the home straight and held on for victory over the fast-finishing Von Costa De Hero ($16) by a half-head.
Portillo ($21) finished in third place well behind the front two.
Despite the close finish, Waterhouse always knew her horse had won it, and was full of praise for him.
"I knew he'd won it, it's so exciting, he is now Australia's leading two-year old, he is a really good horse," Waterhouse told Channel Nine immediately after the race.
Boss, a late replacement for Blake Shinn who lost his appeal against a suspension for careless riding, was ecstatic after the amazing win.
"What a great moment, it's a special moment for a special horse," he said after the race. "We blew the start, but got back to a good spot, and he showed such good composure."
Weekend Hussler has added the Cathay Pacific George Ryder Stakes to his growing list of victories after easily beating his rivals at Rosehill.
The world's best three-year-old rose to yet another challenge set to him by trainer Ross McDonald by winning in convincing style at his first attempt at weight-for-age racing.
Weekend Hussler ($2.90) finished a length an a half ahead of Racing to Win ($2.60), while Casino Prince ($19) battled hard for third.
It has been a good day for Waterhouse after Tuesday Joy moved to the top of the tree in Australia's staying ranks with a comfortable victory in The BMW.
Tuesday Joy ($3.30) finished ahead of Princess Coup ($3.20) by one and a half lengths with Sirmione ($4) another half length back in third.
Earlier, Robert Thompson rode Heavenly Glow ($5) to victory in the Group One Arrowfield Stud Stakes.
It was Thompson's first Group One victory for 13 years, as the filly made light work of the heavy conditions to race away from her rivals and win by 3 and three-quarter lengths in a canter.
Galileo's Daughter ($41) battled on well for second place finishing a half-length in front of Pentura ($5.50).
In the day's final Group One race, the Coolmore Classic, Eskimo Queen caused a massive boil-over, upsetting the highly fancied Hot Danish.
Eskimo Queen ($16) finished ahead of Hot Danish ($2.90), while long-shot Deloraine ($91) finished third to ensure a healthy pay out for anyone who got the unlikely trifecta.
