Secret's out for Jubilee success

Secret's out for Jubilee success

20/06/2008 3:46 PM

Ante-post favourite Sakhee's Secret features among 20 horses declared for Saturday’s Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Trained by Hughie Morrison to win the July Cup last season, the four-year-old returned with a good run behind Captain Gerrard when conceding weight in the Palace House Stakes.

He has been berthed in stall nine, while Australian speedball Takeover Target seems to have fared well in box two.

Joe Janiak's globetrotting superstar ran his usual game race to finish second in the King's Stand on Tuesday and will bid to go one better in this weekend's six-furlong showpiece.

Last year's winner Soldier's Tale has been declared by Jeremy Noseda, while other well-fancied contenders include Marchand D'Or, US Ranger and War Artist.

Fat Boy, Myboycharlie, Sir Gerry and Kingsgate Native, unplaced in the King's Stand, will represent the three-year-old division.

New Zealand raider Seachange is another interesting runner.

Aeroplane, Assertive, Astronomer Royal, Balthazaar's Gift, Diabolical, Snaefell, Utmost Respect, Zidane and 2007 Wokingham winner Dark Missile complete the field.
