Wet track likely for Slipper

The Rosehill track will be rated no better than dead for Saturday's lucrative Golden Slipper meeting.
The going was assessed as Slow 6 on Thursday morning but could be upgraded to Dead by Saturday provided there is no further rain.
"Yesterday afternoon it had got to a five and I was confident that it would keep improving but this rain has tipped it back to a dead range," Rosehill track manager Lindsay Murphy told Sportal on Thursday morning.
"If we didn't get any more showers and it brightened up a bit we might get to dead. But if we keep getting these showers it will just keep it in the Slow 6 range."
"It's just in the lap of the gods at the moment."
Showers have been forecast for Sydney leading into Saturday's meeting, increasing the likelihood of rain-affected going.
Such conditions at Rosehill have in the past produced a track bias favouring horses racing towards the outside.
But Murphy was confident the track would race fairly and evenly this Saturday.
"I'd say so. With the rail out three metres, I'd say for sure," he said.
