Bulldogs Ben Roberts and Lee Te Maari have been sacked from first grade and fined $5000 after admitting to anti-social behaviour at a Cronulla nightspot.
The pair will play in the Bulldogs' NSW Cup team his weekend after breaking the club's code of conduct during a night out last weekend.
Roberts and Te Maari fronted the club's disciplinary panel following an independent investigation into the incident and admitted their guilt.
"The investigation revealed that Ben and Lee were guilty of poor behaviour, both players were upfront in admitting to this and they’re being punished accordingly," Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg said.
"As a club we hold all our players to the highest of standards and we will continue to work hard to ensure that these expectations are met."
Toyota Cup try-scoring machine Ben Barba will receive his chance in the top grade at Roberts' expense when the Dogs host St George Illawarra at ANZ Stadium on Monday night.
The club is yet to announce Te Maari's replacement.
