The Wallabies will open up their 2009 Tri Nations campaign against New Zealand in Auckland on July 18.

The SANZAR committee released the 2009 Tri Nations fixture on Friday, with Australia's opening two matches being played away from home.

After tackling the All Blacks on July 18, the Wallabies then travel to South Africa to take on the Springboks in Bloemfontein on July 25.

The Wallabies will then return home to play three home fixtures over consecutive Saturday's in late August and early September.

Their first home game is against New Zealand in Sydney on August 22, before a match in Perth against South Africa the following Saturday.

Australia's home campaign will be completed in Brisbane against South Africa on September 5, before a final match against the All Blacks in Wellington on September 19.

July 18: New Zealand v Australia in Auckland

July 25: South Africa v New Zealand in Bloemfontein

August 1: South Africa v New Zealand in Durban

August 8: South Africa v Australia in Cape Town

August 22 Australia v New Zealand in Sydney

August 29: Australia v South Africa in Perth

September 5: Australia v South Africa in Brisbane

September 12: New Zealand v South Africa in Hamilton

September 19: New Zealand v Australia in Wellington
