Paszek into Bali semis

Unseeded 17-year-old Tamira Paszek continued her remarkable run at the Commonwealth Bank Tennis Classic championship on Saturday with a 6-2 5-7 6-4 upset of top-seeded Daniela Hantuchova in the semi-final.
The 85th-ranked Austrian will be bidding for her second career title on Sunday when she faces second seed Patty Schnyder, a 7-5 6-1 winner over fourth-seeded Russian Nadia Petrova.
Schnyder, 29, has not won a championship since claiming the 10th title of her career in January 2005 at Gold Coast.
The Swiss veteran does have some history with Paszek, defeating the teenager earlier this year in opening-round play at Doha. That victory avenged a loss to Paszek in the third round of the 2007 US Open.
The 13th-ranked Schnyder had a better performance at Flushing Meadows this year - reaching the quarter-finals of the major earlier this month - and has clearly carried that momentum into this Tier III event, where she has yet to drop a set.
Paszek, meanwhile, has been picking off seeded players all week - she ousted number seven Sara Errani in the second round and number three Flavia Pennetta in the quarter-finals before getting the best of a somewhat rundown Hantuchova.
The runner-up here last season, Hantuchova has struggled since returning earlier this summer from a stress fracture in her foot and the Slovakian needed two hours and 37 minutes to get past Taipei's Yung-Jan Chan in Friday's quarter-final.
Paszek returns to a singles final for the first time since claiming her maiden title in 2006 at Portoroz.
She won that tournament at the age of 15 years, nine months and eight days to become the seventh-youngest singles champion in WTA history. The world number 259 at the time, she also became the third lowest ranked singles champion in history.
