Williams sisters compared
The Williams sisters meet in a Wimbledon final for the third time when they clash on Centre Court on Saturday.
Serena leads the series against her older sister 2-0 but Venus has been in fine form during her march to the All England Club ladies' showpiece.
Here, PA Sport's Duncan Bech looks at how the two players match up.
STYLE
The sisters both rely on the same power-based game, working primarily from the baseline. Venus is more adept at coming to the net - an area of her game she has been working on - but both possess a ferocious serve and are the fastest in the ladies' game. They are superb athletes with Serena quicker around the court, while Venus has a better reach.
TEMPERAMENT
Both players thrive on the big match occasion with their accumulation of 12 grand slam titles between them evidence of an iron will. Venus cuts a calmer figure on court and rarely shows any emotion while Serena is a slightly feistier competitor.
WIMBLEDON TITLES
The All England Club has been a happy hunting ground for Venus, who has amassed four titles starting with her maiden triumph in 2000. Serena has proved less successful with just two of her eight Grand Slams coming at SW19. On two occasions they contested the Wimbledon final - in 2002 and 2003 - and on both occasions Serena came out on top.
OUTFITS
Traditional all-white outfits have regularly been shunned by the Williams, who bring their own personal touch to tournaments. Serena is more outrageous and is remembered for the black rubber-style catsuit she debuted at the US Open in 2002. Two years later at the same event she donned a denim skirt and boots. Venus also likes to use colour to liven up her dress, but is more restrained.
