Australia handed tough group

The Australian Men's Under-23 team has drawn a tough group for the Beijing Olympics after the first stage draw for the Men's Olympic Football Tournament were held in Beijing on Sunday night.

Australia has been drawn with 2004 Gold Medal winners Argentina, Serbia, and Olympic Games debutants, the Ivory Coast.

The Aussies will start their campaign against Serbia on 7th August in Shanghai, the day before the official opening of the Games.

They face Argentina on the 10th August, also in Shanghai, before travelling to Tianjin to face the Ivory Coast on the 13th August.
