Adelaide United coach Aurelio Vidmar believes his side can come away with three points in their AFC Champions League game at Binh Duong if it keeps its focus on Wednesday night.
The Reds will have to overcome humid conditions in south-eastern Vietnam as they look to take sole possession of the lead in a tight Group E in which they currently share top spot on four points with Chinese champions Changchun Yatai.
Binh Duong is yet to open its account in the competition and Vidmar is confident his side can defeat the V-League champions as long as it doesn't become too complacent.
"The hot weather in Vietnam does not worry me as it is the same in Australia," said Vidmar, who was in charge last season when Adelaide won 2-0 in Vietnam against Dong Tam Long An.
"This is the second time we have played against a Vietnam club and the last time, we played quite well."
"I believe that Adelaide have a good chance as long as we play our football and always keep focussed on the game right from the start."
Adelaide will have to re-organise its tactics with striker Bruce Djite out with a hamstring injury.
Travis Dodd, who scored a hat-trick against Dong Tam in the 3-0 win in Adelaide last year, could be pushed up into a centre forward role.
Robert Cornthwaite is suspended after picking up yellow cards in consecutive AFC Champions League games but midfielder Jonas Salley could return to the starting line up after serving his suspension for his red card in the 2-0 opening win at Pohang Steelers.
Meanwhile, Binh Duong coach Le Thuy Hai insists he is not worried by Adelaide United, even though his side has yet to register a point in the AFC Champions League this year.
Binh Duong lost 2-1 to Changchun Yatai in its opening game before going down 4-1 at home to Pohang three weeks ago.
Despite that heavy defeat against the K-League side, Binh Duong had held its own for the first 45 minutes having taken the lead early in the game.
The team has gained in confidence from that performance, winning three successive games in the V-League, and Hai feels that his players have regained the belief that brought them their first V-League title last season.
"We played well in the match against Pohang Steelers," said the Binh Duong coach.
"Now, we will stick to the same way when hosting Adelaide United. Nothing changes except for the mentality. "
"My players have earned back their confidence and spark."
