Trainer Peter Moody is considering taking his star unbeaten filly Black Caviar to Dubai after her impressive first-up win in the Group Two Australia Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.
Black Caviar has had a huge boom on her since she won three straight races in emphatic fashion in her first campaign during the early part of the Melbourne spring.
A chest muscle injury thwarted Moody's bigger spring ambitions but after she easily defeated a small field on Friday night, outclassing the consistent Here De Angels by two and a half lengths, the trainer is seriously considering going global.
The Golden Shaheen, a spring race run over 1200m on dirt on Dubai World Cup night is now on her radar, with Moody revealing she would get her inoculations for a possible trip to the Middle East in the next few days.
Her next assignment will be the Group One William Reid Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley in three weeks' time, having claimed her first victory in open company.
A shot at the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington in March is also on the agenda for the talented sprinter.
With just four rivals, it was an easy kill for Black Caviar ($1.50), which jumped well and sat outside Here De Angels ($4) early on. Luke Nolen asked her for effort at around the 400m and she raced to the front, with her main rival unable to keep pace. She strolled clear, while Her De Angels easily held onto second ahead of La Rocket ($21).
