Gai Waterhouse has claimed her seventh Sydney trainers' premiership after a nail-biting finish to the season at Warwick Farm on Friday.
Waterhouse's title was in jeopardy earlier in the day when Peter Snowden recorded two victories to inch his way into the lead.
But Waterhouse fought back from the brink with two winners of her own late in the day to reclaim the lead and ultimately win the trainers' premiership.
The Randwick trainer was handed the title when Nash Rawillier, aboard Moti, held off the challenges of Snowden pair Beowolf and Margham in the Lake Moore Handicap.
The final margin separating Waterhouse and Snowden in the tightly-run competition was 1-1/2.
