IBO cruiserweight world champion Danny Green says his upcoming title defence against boxing immortal Roy Jones Jr has already played out repeatedly in his head - and he likes what he sees.
Green will take on Jones Jr - a four division world champion - at Sydney's Acer Arena on December 2 in arguably the biggest fight ever staged on Australian soil.
The fighters traded one-liners during an entertaining press conference to promote ticket sales ahead of the bout on Wednesday, both confidently predicting the encounter won't go the distance.
But while the 40-year-old American will enter the bout as the short-price favourite, Green has no doubt he can upstage one of the biggest names in the history of the sport.
"Roy's coming to knock me out but I'm very confident I can win the fight and I can see it," Green said.
"I have this recurring vision that I've got and I haven't had this vision for a long time."
"The last time I had this feeling before a fight was against Eric Lucas and it was a great night for me."
"I'm very pumped about this fight and like I said I can envisage an earlier than 12th-round stoppage by myself against Roy Jones Jr."
Jones Jr, who arrived at Sydney airport sporting a Melbourne Storm jumper in a declaration of war to the Parramatta-mad Green, predicted an entirely different outcome.
"The Storm had a perfect nickname for me because I am the perfect storm, so I'm looking forward to it," Jones Jr said.
"And I don't like Eels at all, anything that resembles a snake I can't stand it you know what I'm saying, so it's a perfect situation for me."
"I always tell people beware, because December 2nd there will be a storm in Australia - a perfect storm."
Green countered: "As far as the perfect storm goes this is what the weather's going to remain like, nice and sunny and we don't need no storm - I'm the storm chaser."
Jones answered: "There will be a storm, trust me. There will be a storm."
To which Green replied: "It'll blow over quickly."
Asked how many rounds it will take to dispose of the hard-hitting Green, the flashy American growled: "I don't know yet, it all depends on how Danny comes out there."
"If Danny comes out there and hits me as hard as hell like he says he's going to do early it'll probably be less rounds than what I expect it to be because I know he's strong and the quicker he hits me the quicker he's going to piss me off and there we go."
But Jones insisted he won't underestimate the 'Green Machine'.
"Danny's strong as hell, I ain't stupid. You can't stand in front of him like I did Jeff Lacy, I mean you can't expect the same thing out of him, he's a very difficult guy to deal with let's face reality he's a very difficult guy to deal with," he said.
Green was equally respectful of his more-fancied opponent insisting the 40-year-old remains a world-class fighter.
"He showed against Jeff Lacy, who's a two-time world champion, his greatness," Green said.
"I'm not going to deny ... and I want to knock Roy Jones out and solidify my legacy in the sport world wide. Internationally, knocking Roy Jones Jr (out) is going to put me right at the top of the
