Both teams kept their changes to a minimum with each resorting to two new faces from their starting sevens of the first test.

However, it didn't take long for the World 7 to find its polish from the first test, their execution of the basics proving pivotal in forging an early lead.
Brownfield proved an effective target under the hoop where she provided accurate finishing on the back of expert distribution from World 7 creators Megan Dehn and Natasha Chokljat.
At the other end, smothering defence from England duo Geva Mentor and Sonia Mkoloma and Peta Scholz had the Silver Ferns attackers under constant pressure as the visitors took full toll to forge a an impressive 15-7 first quarter lead.
The response from the Silver Ferns management was swift with Maria Tutaia introduced for Thompson, Larrissa Willcox, on debut, slotting into wing defence and Laura Langman taking up the centre's bib.
The World 7 retained its dominance as the Silver Ferns struggled to find their groove in battling to make an impression against their well-drilled opponents who stretched out to an imposing 12-goal lead at one stage.
Inspired by the deeds of captain Casey Williams, the Silver Ferns fronted up to the challenge with a late rally to win a battling second quarter by a hard-fought one-goal margin. However, the World 7 retained a handy 23-16 advantage at halftime.
There was no let-up for the Silver Ferns in the second half with the introduction of Jamaican duo Althea Byfield (wing defence) and towering goalshoot Romelda Aiken.
The Langman-George combination proved an effective midcourt link for the Silver Ferns in the third quarter, their most productive of the match. But the steady reliability across the court from the World 7 and the flawless finishing of Aiken ensured the visitors held the edge as they went into the last break 39-30 ahead.
The Silver Ferns made several strong surges during the final stanza with Williams and Irene van Dyk playing strong hands but the inconsistencies remained.
Plagued by a high turnover rate throughout the match, the Silver Ferns remained pinned on the back foot as the poise and talent of the World 7, expertly guided by Dehn and Chokljat, kept a winning grip down the home straight.
With all the pressure on the home team, the Silver Ferns will look for some redemption the third and final test in Auckland on Saturday.
